The jacket is knitted from top to bottom in half patent with Thin Peer Gynt and Thin Silk Mohair.

First, stitches are cast on for the back piece, which is knitted back and forth with double pointed needles to form slanted shoulders. The back piece is worked down to under the sleeves with increases for armholes. Knit up stitches for the front pieces, which are knitted separately with increases for the v-neck and armholes. The work is then collected on a circular needle and is knitted back and forth with increases on the front pieces, before the work is finished with a purl. Stitches are picked up for sleeves which are knitted in the round. The sleeves are finished with pleats and ribbing. A double-knit cord and border are knitted along the front edges and finally the neck. A string is attached to the side and a hem is attached to the inside of the jacket, so that it fits well.

The entire jacket is knitted with 1 thread of each quality.

Semi-patent grows quite a bit in the wash. Wash the jacket and lay it down according to the stated measurements to get the right fit.
