The jacket is knitted from top to bottom with PetiteKnit Double Sunday and Ballerina Chunky Mohair.

First stitches are cast on for the neck, then increases on each side to form a European shoulder. The back piece is knitted down to under the sleeves. Then knit up stitches on each shoulder on the right and left front piece. The front pieces are knitted down
to under the sleeves with increases to the v-neck. Gradually, the diagram is knitted on the front pieces. The front pieces are knitted together with the back piece before finishing with a purl. Knit up stitches around each armhole for sleeves, before finally knitting up stitches along both front pieces and the neck to the front edge. Holes are made along both front edges for ties.
If buttons are desired instead of ties, only holes are made along one front edge.
